Hanuman’s Box Office Journey: Prasanth Varma’s Telugu Superhero Epic Encounters Box Office Deceleration

Teja Sajja’s “Hanuman,” an original Telugu superhero saga, has soared past the Rs 250 crore mark worldwide, earning accolades for its remarkable visual effects achieved on a restrained budget. Despite experiencing a downturn in revenue, the film managed to pocket approximately Rs 2.00 crore on its nineteenth day, aggregating a total of Rs 176.75 crore in India alone. Director Prasanth Varma is already charting his next endeavor, tentatively titled “Jai Hanuman.”

The momentum of Teja Sajja’s starrer, “Hanuman,” appears to be tapering off as it faces a decline in box office collections. Almost breaching the Rs 250 crore milestone globally, the movie has garnered praise for its high-quality VFX despite budget constraints. As reported by Sacnilk, the film amassed an estimated Rs 174.75 crore in India by its eighteenth day in theaters.

On January 30th, “Hanuman” added approximately Rs 2.00 crore to its coffers, bringing its Indian total to Rs 176.75 crore. The film boasted an overall Telugu occupancy rate of 21.28% on the same day, with morning shows at 16.19%, afternoon shows at 19.94%, evening shows at 24.55%, and night shows at 24.44%. Hindi occupancy stood at 11.04%.

Featuring Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, and Raj Deepak Shetty in pivotal roles, this Telugu original superhero flick has left an indelible mark on audiences.

Released on January 12th during the Sankrathi festival season, “Hanuman” went head-to-head with Mahesh Babu’s “Guntur Kaaram” at the box office. Meanwhile, director Prasanth Varma has already embarked on his next cinematic voyage with “Jai Hanuman.”
