In recent times, various types of films are being dubbed into Telugu. However, only a few are achieving success in their original languages. Among such films is “Premalu,” created a sensation in Malayalam and is now achieving significant collections in Telugu as well. This crazy movie, which amassed huge revenues there, is now delighting Telugu audiences with its substantial collections. Numerous records have been set by this film so far.

Directed by Girish AD, “Premalu” portrays a love story crafted with mother tongue emotions. This craze-filled movie was produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Shyam Pushkaran under the Bhavana Studios banner. Apart from the lead pair, Nazriya Nazim and Gireesh AD, the film also features Althaf Salim and Meenakshi Raveendran in significant roles. Vishnu Vijay provided the music.

Meanwhile, renowned director SS Rajamouli decided to release the Telugu version of the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. For this, he acquired the dubbing rights for Rs. 120 million. Consequently, the Telugu version of the film was released worldwide on March 8th. Since its inception, “Premalu” has been receiving a good response in Telugu, especially for its blend of romance and comedy elements.

The film holds well even on its 17th day, collecting Rs. 25 million in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone. It has grossed Rs. 45 million so far. With a substantial response, the film grossed Rs. 3.10 billion in Nizam areas within 17 days. In total, it has collected Rs. 2.51 billion in Andhra Pradesh. Combining all these figures, the film has collected Rs. 5.61 billion in total shares and Rs. 10 billion in gross.

Overseas, the Telugu version of “Premalu” has been released grandly. It earned $300K within just 17 days there. With this, it has collected shares of up to Rs. 1.55 billion. Considering all these factors, the film has grossed Rs. 7.16 billion in worldwide shares and Rs. 13 billion in gross.
